How do the kids say, these days (although presumably about a decade ago), that photo is my jam!
There's a lot of so-so street photography on Substack, and then there's some really great stuff. That photo, is spot-on. I wouldn't worry about separation of the background too much. I quite like the guy in the distance looking back on to you. There's also a pattern on the bag in the background that loosely mimics the form of the figures in the foreground which would have been lost.
Thanks a ton Neil. I appreciate your feedback and insight...And I used that line “that’s my Jam” on my 18 yo son last week, and he gave me that look like I should stop talking.
just for fun, next time when you're asked say that is posed. than take a short pause of few seconds and ask "does that change the meaning of the photo?". the answer to your question is crucial 😊
I think this is a good street shot, indeed. And, you know, analysing it afterwards is always easy. But that's that street photography is (most of the times). A heartbeat. In terms of emotions and time available to take the shot. All in all, well done!
Such a gorgeous pic at the right time! Congrats !
Thanks so much!!!
Great photo. Perfect as it is. I wouldn’t regret any aspect of it. Well captured, Doug.
Thanks Nat! Nice of of you to say!
There’s nothing wrong in this shot, nice catch
I really appreciate that Lorenzo!
Thanks for sharing this stunning image. IMHO it couldn't be better.
Awww. Thanks for that vote of confidence! 💛♥️
